Saudi Arabia
An AI receptionist for businesses in Saudi Arabia, answering in Arabic and English.
thinnest answers your calls day and night in Arabic or English, books appointments and viewings, takes messages and passes urgent calls to your team. Bring the number you already have. One thing to settle first: where your customers' data is stored.
AI call answering
What does an AI phone agent do for a business in Saudi Arabia?
It answers the calls you would otherwise miss, in Arabic or English, and deals with them the way a good receptionist would: a booking, a message, or a transfer to your team. It is a fit for businesses that take many calls in a day, such as clinics, dealerships, property developers, salons, restaurants and travel agencies.
Many calls arrive when nobody can answer: during a consultation, on a showroom floor, in the evening rush or outside opening hours. An agent that picks up, asks the right questions and leaves your team a clear record means the caller does not hang up and ring a competitor.
- Bookings go into your calendar through Cal.com, or into your own system through its API.
- Questions about hours, services, locations and requirements are answered from your website and documents.
- Every call has a transcript and an outcome. More on how it works on the AI receptionist page.
Voices
Does the agent speak Arabic, and does it work in Arabic on WhatsApp?
On the phone, yes: voice agents speak Arabic and English, and you choose the voice from a searchable library and listen before you pick. On WhatsApp and website chat, no: the agent's chat replies run in 37 languages and Arabic is not one of them.
We claim Arabic, not a regional dialect: we have not confirmed how any voice handles Najdi, Hijazi or any other way of speaking, so test before you trust it. Ring your agent from the browser, have staff and customers who speak Arabic as their own try it, and read the transcripts. Voice agents also speak English with American, British, Indian and Philippine accents among others, and Urdu, Hindi, Bengali and Filipino, which matters where many residents speak those at home.
On WhatsApp you can still send Arabic: the templates and broadcasts you write and get approved by Meta can be in Arabic, and your team can answer in Arabic from the shared inbox. What the AI agent cannot do is hold the conversation in Arabic. If most of your WhatsApp customers write in Arabic, plan for people to answer there and use the agent for the phone.
Data
Can a Saudi business send customer data to a service hosted outside the Kingdom?
That is a question for your own adviser, and the answer may be no. We support region deployments for enterprise customers. The Kingdom's Personal Data Protection Law restricts transfers of personal data outside the Kingdom.
What we read, on 25 October 2026, in law-firm summaries of the rules (we could not fetch the regulator's own pages): the PDPL is Royal Decree M/19 of 2021, amended by M/148 of 2023, supervised by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). Article 29 limits transfers outside the Kingdom, and SDAIA's Regulation on Personal Data Transfer Outside the Kingdom sets the conditions. Those summaries, the latest dated September 2026, say that SDAIA had not published a list of countries with an adequate level of protection, so a transfer has to rest on an exemption plus an appropriate safeguard (such as SDAIA's own standard contractual clauses) and a risk assessment.
Calls are processed partly in other countries — speech recognition in the EU, the voice and the language model in the US — under transfer safeguards. Whether any of that fits your obligations, your sector's rules (banks, health and government bodies are often stricter) and your customers' expectations is for your adviser to decide before you connect a number, and it may rule the product out. Enterprise customers can ask for a deployment in their own region; we promise no region or date here. The privacy policy has the detail. Read the official text; not legal advice.
Your number
Can I keep my existing Saudi number?
Yes, if the number lives on a Twilio, Telnyx or Plivo account you hold: connect the account and the agent answers that number. We don't sell Saudi numbers.
- Number with a Saudi operator? Ask whether it can be ported to, or forwarded to, a number on one of those accounts, and check that the account can provide or forward Saudi numbers.
- Transfer to a person and voicemail detection work on Plivo and Telnyx numbers. An imported Twilio number answers and records, but can't transfer or detect voicemail.
- Telnyx calls only the countries switched on in your outbound voice profile, the US and Canada by default, so add Saudi Arabia before making outbound calls.

Outbound calls
What are the rules for promotional calls in Saudi Arabia?
You are responsible for following them. The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) rules say a business making a promotional call must hold the person's express, provable consent, stop calling within 24 hours of a request, say at the start who it is and why it is calling, and not call from 10 pm to 9 am (1 am to noon in Ramadan).
What the regulator's text says, as read on 25 October 2026: the Regulations for Curbing SPAM Messages & Calls (Version Three, October 2022; CST decision 493/1444), section 5.2. Before a promotional call the caller must give the person the choice to agree expressly; consent buried in a privacy policy or service contract does not count, and the caller must be able to prove consent. The person can ask to stop at any time, calls must stop within 24 hours of the request, and a confirmation must be sent. The caller must say at the start the reason for the call, the entity it represents and whether the person wishes to continue, and the call must come from the entity's official contact numbers. Promotional and awareness calls are not permitted from 10:00 pm to 9:00 am daily, and in Ramadan from 1:00 am to 12:00 pm, Saudi time.
Two cautions. The text says calls received from parties outside the Kingdom must be service or personal calls only, so a promotional call placed from a number on a foreign carrier account is a question to put to your adviser and operator. And it defines robocalls as calls using an autodialer with a pre-recorded message; we could not verify how an AI voice agent is classified, so plan on the stricter view. The product gives you tools: a do-not-contact list you keep, calling hours you set per campaign on the called person's clock, and an opening line you write. It does not collect or check consent. Most businesses start with inbound calls. Read the official text; not legal advice.
What can WhatsApp do for a business in Saudi Arabia?
Send approved reminders, confirmations and broadcasts to customers who opted in, and let your team answer from a shared inbox. The AI agent's own replies on WhatsApp do not run in Arabic.
We found no reliable national figure for how many Saudi customers prefer WhatsApp to the phone, so we make no claim about it. Meta's WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy (last updated 23 September 2026, read 25 October 2026) says you may only message people who have opted in, and you must honour requests to stop. It also lists verticals, such as over-the-counter medicines, that may use the platform only in listed countries, and Saudi Arabia is not on those lists. See the WhatsApp Business API page. Read the official text; not legal advice.
Agencies
Can a Saudi agency resell it under its own brand?
Yes. White label comes with every paid plan: your brand, your domain, your email sender, your sign-in page and your own prices.
Your clients pay you through your own card checkout. Before you resell, settle the data question above with each client, because it applies to their customers' data. See white label for agencies.
Billing
Do you bill in riyals?
No. International workspaces, Saudi Arabia included, are billed in US dollars by card. Checkout runs through a merchant of record that handles sales tax and VAT, and your bank converts the charge. Prices are on the pricing page.
