Voice AI platforms compared, for Pakistani businesses

For a Pakistani business the choice comes down to five checks: whether the agent speaks Urdu and copes with Urdu mixed into English, whether you can keep your number, what the PTA and PECA say about marketing and unsubscribing, how recording is handled, and whether WhatsApp and billing fit how you sell. This page puts ThinnestAI beside three developer platforms on those checks, with the sources and the date we read them.

What to check

Five things to check before you choose, in Pakistan.

Put the last column to every supplier you are weighing, ThinnestAI included.

CheckWhy it matters in PakistanThinnestAIAsk any supplier
Urdu on the phoneMany callers in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad mix Urdu and English in one sentence, so an agent that handles only clean Urdu will stumble on real calls.Voice agents speak Urdu and English, with Hindi as well; pick an Urdu voice by gender and age and listen first. We claim no regional accents, and Punjabi, Sindhi and Pashto voice agents are not offered. Ring your own agent with your customers' real phrases before you go live. Can I hear Urdu voices before I commit, and what happens when a caller switches to English mid-sentence?
A number you can keepA clinic in Gulberg or a shop in Rawalpindi gives out one number, and customers ring it whether the team is free or not.Connect a number from your own Twilio, Telnyx or Plivo account, or forward calls from another provider to one. We don't sell Pakistani numbers, and whether a carrier can give you a +92 number, and on what terms, is for that carrier to say. Add Pakistan to your Telnyx outbound voice profile before you call out.Which carrier accounts can the agent answer, and what happens to my number if I leave?
Marketing calls and unsubscribingThe PTA made its 2009 spam regulations for telecom operators, and PECA section 25 says anyone doing direct marketing must offer an unsubscribe option. The sources we read showed no rule on calling hours for a business making its own calls, or on AI-voiced calls (read 25 October 2026).You set calling hours per campaign on the called person's clock and keep your own do-not-contact list. The agent checks no Do Not Call register and holds no consent record. The opening line is yours to write, so it can say who is calling, why, and that the caller is an AI.How do I honour an unsubscribe at once, and who checks my list before a campaign runs?
Recording and data lawSecondary summaries treat Pakistan as an all-party-consent country for recording private conversations, and a March 2026 Supreme Court judgment was reported on secret recording. The Personal Data Protection Bill had not been enacted in the 2026 guides we read (read 25 October 2026).Recording is a per-agent switch, off by default, so you decide whether to turn it on and what to tell callers first. We make no claim that the product meets any Pakistani law. We support region deployments for enterprise customers; ask a Pakistani lawyer, and see the privacy policy for processing that involves other countries. Is recording off until I switch it on, and can I write the line that tells callers about it?
WhatsApp, Facebook selling and billingMany shops take orders on Facebook and Instagram and then confirm a cash-on-delivery order by phone or WhatsApp.One agent answers the phone, WhatsApp, website chat and Telegram, with one memory of each customer. Facebook Messenger and Instagram are not channels it answers. Billing is in US dollars by card and your bank converts the charge; whether your bank allows payments to overseas merchants is for your bank to say.Which channels does the agent answer, and in which currency do you invoice?

Other options

Other kinds of supplier in Pakistan.

Kinds of supplier, not companies. Each is the right call for someone.

A call-centre or staffed answering team

People who speak Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi or Pashto can take any call and read a worried caller. That suits a hospital or a complaints line. A team cannot take every evening call at once or ring through a list of leads.

An IVR menu from a phone-system supplier

A press-one-for-sales menu routes calls to people. It cannot answer a question about fees, book a slot or leave the clinic a transcript.

Building on a developer platform

A software house can assemble speech, language-model, voice and telephony providers into a custom agent and tune each. That is slower to start, and the testing, inbox and billing for every part stay with you.

Plainly

Who should pick what.

ThinnestAI fits when

  • You run a clinic, restaurant or coaching academy and want after-hours calls in Urdu or English turned into bookings in your calendar.
  • You run an online shop and want order questions answered on WhatsApp, plus a call to confirm cash-on-delivery orders before they ship.
  • You are a software house that wants to resell an Urdu and English agent to local clients under your own brand and prices.

Something else fits better when

  • Your callers speak Punjabi, Sindhi or Pashto. We do not offer those as voice languages, so a person or another supplier is the better call.
  • Most of your selling happens in Facebook Messenger or Instagram messages. The agent answers neither, so a tool built for those inboxes fits better.
  • Your bank or card cannot pay overseas merchants, and billing is only in US dollars by card. Settle payment first, or pick a supplier you can pay locally.

Questions

Common questions.

Can I keep my Pakistani phone number?

+
Yes, if it sits on a Twilio, Telnyx or Plivo account you hold, or you forward calls from another provider to a number that does. Ask the carrier whether it can supply a +92 number. Transfer to a person and voicemail detection work on Plivo and Telnyx numbers; an imported Twilio number answers and records but can't do either.

Do the other platforms sell Pakistani numbers?

+
Their own documentation, read on 25 October 2026, says this: Vapi's free numbers use US area codes, Retell sells numbers in the US and Canada only, and Bland sells for the US and Canada and says to contact support elsewhere. A Pakistani number would come from a carrier you import it from, as with us.

Is there a Do Not Call register in Pakistan, and does the agent follow it?

+
The 2009 PTA regulations call for an operator-run Do Not Call Register, and press reports say the PTA told operators in 2021 to run it properly. The agent does not screen numbers against it. Keep your own do-not-contact list and give recipients a way to unsubscribe. Read the official text; this is not legal advice.

Can I record calls in Pakistan?

+
Recording is off by default and is your choice for each agent. The sources we read describe PECA section 19 and an all-party-consent view, and reports differ on how far a 2026 judgment goes, so tell callers at the start that a call may be recorded and ask a Pakistani lawyer.

Test it on your own calls in Pakistan.

Create an agent, give it your own information, and ring it from your browser before you connect a number. Then put the same test to the others.
