ThinnestAI is a separate platform on its own number (bought from us or an imported Plivo number) — not an add-on to your Twilio trunk.

4× pricing difference on the per-minute rate alone, before counting that ThinnestAI's rate already includes telephony. ThinnestAI also has the Indian-language quality, DLT defaults, and INR billing.

Twilio Voice Intelligence is the simpler choice if staying on your exact Twilio number is non-negotiable. For Indian operations where you can provision a new number, ThinnestAI is the cheaper, more multilingual outcome.

Moving off Twilio Studio in 3 steps

1. 1. Get your ThinnestAI number.

   Buy an Indian number directly from ThinnestAI (₹349/mo) — or, if you already have a number with Plivo specifically, import it at ₹0 extra. Your Twilio number and trunk are untouched. Telemarketer registration on the DLT portal stays in your name either way.

2. 2. Configure your agent in ThinnestAI's settings.

   Paste a system prompt, add your knowledge sources, attach tools, pick a voice. This replaces the AI-driven parts of your Twilio Studio flow on the new number.

3. 3. Cut over traffic and retire the Twilio flow.

   Point marketing/CRM references at the new number once you're happy with quality. If keeping your exact Twilio number matters more than switching, Twilio Voice Intelligence stays the better fit for now.

Setup time on the ThinnestAI side: half a day for a single agent flow once the number is provisioned. Most teams run the new number in parallel with Twilio for a week to A/B test before fully cutting over.

DLT compliance — the Twilio gotcha

Twilio India numbers REQUIRE DLT registration to make outbound calls — and that registration doesn't carry over to ThinnestAI, since Twilio numbers can't be imported. Be clear on who owns what: telemarketer registration on the DLT portal is the customer's responsibility on our platform too, and we don't claim otherwise. What we do carry is the operational side — DND/NCPR scrubbing before a campaign dials, 9am–9pm IST time-boxing, 140-series support, and an AI disclosure toggle.

If your Twilio outbound is failing or rate-limited today, that's almost always a missing or misconfigured DLT template on the Twilio side — a Twilio-account problem, independent of whether or how you use ThinnestAI. On whichever number you run through ThinnestAI, we make sure the agent only dials with DLT-approved templates.
