Short answer: AiSensy is the cheapest way to start, with a Free Forever plan and paid add-ons for its flow builder and AI agents. Interakt is the strongest for selling a catalogue on WhatsApp in India, with checkout, WhatsApp Pay and Shopify flows. Wati is the broadest inbox of the three, covering WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok and web chat, with Astra AI agents and Coexistence with the WhatsApp Business App.

When does AiSensy win?
When budget is the first question. AiSensy advertises "a FREE forever plan" on the WhatsApp Business API, new sign-ups get a small WhatsApp credit, and it adds broadcasts you can schedule two months ahead, multi-agent live chat and AI-powered click-to-WhatsApp ads. Its integrations include Shopify, Razorpay, WebEngage and LeadSquared. The catch is that the drag-and-drop chatbot builder and the AI agent builder are priced as add-ons, so a business that needs both should add them up before comparing.
When does Interakt win?
When you sell products on WhatsApp in India. Interakt, from Jio Haptik Technologies, includes the WhatsApp catalog, a checkout bot, order management and WhatsApp Pay from its Growth plan, and its Shopify features cover abandoned-checkout reminders, winback and COD-to-prepaid conversion. Advanced adds branching chatbots that call your APIs, auto-assignment and calling. Its home page also introduces a Shopify voice AI agent and MyCallGenie, an AI call receptionist.
When does Wati win?
When your team handles several channels or wants AI agents in the base plan. Wati's Growth plan includes an omnichannel inbox across WhatsApp, calling, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, web chat and RCS, plus one Astra AI agent; Pro adds intelligent routing and HubSpot; Business adds multiple numbers, voice AI agents and Salesforce. Its blog describes Coexistence, so the owner can keep answering from the WhatsApp Business App on the same number. Template messages are charged on top of all plans.
What do all three have in common?
- Meta's charges underneath. Meta charges per delivered message, by category and by the customer's country, and publishes the rates on its pricing page. Each platform shows its own per-message figures on top of that; compare them on your real mix of marketing, utility and service messages.
- Consent is your job. Send marketing only to people who opted in, and honour opt-outs. A platform can help, but the responsibility stays with the sender.
- Templates need Meta's approval before you can start a conversation, whichever tool you use.
Is there an option if you want an AI agent on calls too?
All three now market some AI calling. If phone calls are central, rather than an extra, ThinnestAI is built the other way round: one AI agent answers WhatsApp, your phone line, website chat and Telegram, with one memory of each customer, in all 22 scheduled Indian languages plus English. It is an official Meta Tech Provider, broadcasts only to contacts with a recorded opt-in, and hands chats to a shared inbox. It has no catalog messages, checkout or WhatsApp Pay, no Instagram, no flow builder and no Coexistence today, so for catalogue selling Interakt or AiSensy remain the better fit.
